One Bag Reviews (“One Bag Reviews,” “we,” or “us”) runs the website at this address (the “Site”). This policy describes what we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Details you send us. The contact form asks for your name, email address, and a message. The trip report request form asks for your email address, the length of your trip, and the bag you carried. We keep whatever you enter.
Trip report submissions. If we invite you to submit a full trip report, we ask for a copy of your purchase receipt so we can confirm you bought the gear you are reviewing. We use the receipt only for that verification and delete it once your report has been reviewed. We also keep the report itself and the email address we use to send your reward.
Technical details. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request data such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages viewed. We use it to run, secure, and debug the Site. There are no advertising trackers on the Site.
Bot screening. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which inspects limited browser signals to tell people from automated traffic. Turnstile is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
Why we collect it
- To answer your message and talk with you about trip reports and honest gear reviews for one-bag travelers.
- To review, verify, publish, and reward trip reports you submit.
- To keep ordinary business records of our correspondence.
- To protect the Site from abuse.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Only the providers that help us run the Site, reply to you, and deliver rewards: Cloudflare (hosting and bot screening), Postmark (email delivery), and the gift card provider we use to issue rewards, which receives the email address needed to deliver your card. They act on our instructions. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
How long we keep it
Messages and trip report requests stay for as long as we need them to respond and keep business records, then are deleted or anonymized. Published trip reports stay on the Site unless you ask us to take yours down. You can ask us to delete yours at any time using the address below.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information you gave us. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local privacy law. We answer verifiable requests within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect the information we hold. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
The Site is not aimed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may revise this policy. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
